Hemlock Wood

When a lighter color scheme is chosen for the interior design, western hemlock is a premium option for appearance-grade items. This fine-grained, smooth wood, which is grown in the Northern Rockies and along the coasts of Oregon and Washington, yields boards with straight edges. It paints incredibly well and may be used to complement existing millwork because it doesn't include pitch and is a neutral tint.

Interior trim and paneling made from western hemlock are a great choice. Check out our blog to learn more about the thermally modified hemlock T&G and other products we provide. We can also supply a huge variety of different building materials made of domestic hard and soft woods as well as exotic hardwoods, such as Port Orford cedar.

For the majority of domestic and exotic wood, special pre-staining, pre-priming, and milling services are also offered. There are minimums. Call (800) 775-4024 today to speak to a Cedar Country Lumber representative.

Red Batu Mahogany Wood

Red Batu/Balau is an exceptionally durable wood that is grown and harvested in Indonesia utilizing eco-friendly methods. Commonly referred to as "Mahogany," this wood has a tight grain, a deep, rich red hue, and fewer color fluctuations than other hardwoods.

Due to its inherent resistance to rot and decay, Red Batu is particularly well suited for deck applications. Deck planks can either be painted or left unfinished to weather naturally to a silver grey tint.

Please visit our blog for information on Red Batu decking care and upkeep as well as guarantee details.

Pine Wood

One of the most common species growing in the 12 western states is pine, which is harvested selectively so that only mature trees are removed. It has a straight, regular grain and a clean, smooth surface, with a small quantity of reddish-brown heartwood and broad cream-colored sapwood. Pine is frequently used when aesthetics over strength are important.

Pine is good for molding, door and window trim, shutters, jambs, internal paneling, and drawers since it is somewhat resistant to fluctuations in humidity thanks to being kiln-dried before export. Visit our blog to find out more about our pre-finished pine T&G for usage indoors and outside.

IPE Wood

IPE, often called Brazilian walnut and occasionally offered under trade names like Ironwood, comes from nations in South America's rain forests that practice sustainable forestry. IPE trees have a maximum height of 150 feet and a maximum diameter of 6 feet. Light to dark brown, the wood frequently has interesting deeper patterning.

It is valued for its strength and longevity and is almost 7 times harder than western red cedar. Due to its hardness, it can be a little challenging to work with, but it is available in large lengths that sand easily with little splintering and little warp.

IPE is a preferred material for outdoor decking and fence because of how simple it is to maintain and how well it holds up in challenging environments.
